Next ACT Group House Joins Valmar – Number 10 thanks to the NDIS

On Wednesday the 13th of April at noon the 10th group house transition from Disability ACT to Valmar occurred. All these transfers have been made possible by the roll-out of the NDIS in the ACT and residents and their Guardians being free to choose their accommodation service providers as the ACT Government moves out of direct disability service delivery.

There was tea, jam and scones, much laughter and a street almost blocked by cars and vans as the handover occurred.
The residents, Guardians and staff are very happy to now be part of Valmar, and Valmar are certainly delighted to have been given the opportunity to work with them under the NDIS.

The people in this photo are all now Valmar employees ( except the one with her hand on the CEO’s leg !!! )
