Valmar has two divisions of Employment programs. These are:
Australian Disability Enterprises (ADE) – are Valmar owned businesses that provided employment opportunities to people with a disability. The ADE is funded by the Department of Family, and Housing, Community Services & Indigenous Affairs. To be eligible for a funded position in Valmar’s ADE requires an individual to have been assessed as having a disability and being eligible to receive a Disability Support Pension (DSP). Eligibility may also require Centrelink assessment.
Valmar does have some unfunded positions, although these are very limited and further information can be obtained from the Manager Training & Employment Access.
Disability Employment Services (DES) – Funding for DES programs is funded through the Department of Education, Employment & Workplace Relations (DEEWR). DES programs are for people with a disability, injury, health conditions, their families and their carers. Job seekers with a disability will have immediate access to tailored, flexible services that respond to their needs and those of employers.
Eligibility for DES programs is determined by Centrelink and further information can be obtained by contacting the Manager Training & Employment Access.
